Best Anime Like Redo Of Healer: Treat For Roh Lovers

Best Anime Like Redo Of Healer Treat For Roh Lovers

We can all agree that Redo of the Healer broke the anime industry in 2021. Let me brief you if you haven’t had time to watch it. The plot follows the life of Keyaru, who is destined for greatness. Whatever he did, at the end of the day, what was expected of him was to become a hero. The path to becoming that person wasn’t easy because of the misfortunes against him.

It was a punishment he never asked for, but he had a self-healing power, which was the only thing that sustained him. The storyline mostly highlights the theme of revenge; he wants to avenge what has been done to him. If watching Redo of the Healer is an experience you would want to forget, I’m here to tell you it is possible.

The list I have gathered below includes anime series and shows that will give you nostalgia. The following series also shows all the dark themes from RedoRedo of the Healer. What more could you ask for!? So now relax and enjoy some of my best recommendations.

15. Gate

Gate

Watching Gate makes you feel like you are part of the show because of how realistic the wars and their dark side are presented. As the story begins, you will see the gates of Tokyo being opened, giving dragons, knights, and orcs a free pass to invade Japan in large numbers. This created havoc and destruction all over the place.

A man named Itami, who is, of course, the main character, puts an end to this and drives them out of Japan back to their home. After his victory, he was tasked to follow them into their world and see their way of life.

Upon arrival into the fantasy world, he was accompanied by other humans who befriended these creatures. Finding himself trapped in two worlds, Itami cannot waste more time. The pressure from both worlds was becoming too heavy to bear.

One thing about Gate is that it won’t fail to make you laugh even in between those dark moments. Some characters are too funny to ignore. The world shown in Gate is not visible in real life. It’s a mixture of Usagi people, Neko people, Inu people, elves, and mages.

14. Magical Girl Madoka Magica

Magical Girl Madoka Magica

The fact that the series shows a lot of cute high school girls shouldn’t deceive you into thinking that that is all there is. The dark themes that come with it will shock you. It’s one of the series that will leave a horrific impact on your life.

As much as it appears to be more on the bright side, how the terrifying gothic themes are introduced will leave you speechless. The story follows four beautiful high school girls who have an agreement that will allow them to face the witches.

The other party of the contract was a bunny-looking creature that assured them that it was possible to end the destruction caused by these witches.

They were promised that one of their desires would be fulfilled, which sounds normal, right? Well, that’s where it surprised us because there was more depth to it. It wasn’t just a give-and-take type of agreement. I strongly urge you to give Magical Girl a try.

13. Made in Abyss

Made in Abyss

What Riko went through is the same as what Keyaru endured in RedoRedo of the healer. Riko was trapped in the pits of the Abyss, where her life changed, and not in a good way.

She kept going deeper into the unforgettable terrible moments that haunted her for life while still trying to figure out why her life was like this. The Abyss was home to creatures and dark secrets that left Riko with tiny chances of survival.

To save her life, she is put in a compromising situation where she has to do some of the most unimaginable things that could alter the rest of her life. It doesn’t get as far as ROH, but the story and its impact on us are worth mentioning.

The story highlights how a bad environment can rip the innocence out of someone. Riko is a good example; her life never remained the same. It is a movie that I would highly rank any day and any time.

12. Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time

Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time

Peter Grill and the Philosophers’ Time gives off the same vibe as Redo of the Healer, but this one will make you giggle throughout the series. The main character was craved by many girls who wanted him to themselves.

All the women were obsessing over him because he was the strongest man in the world. That title alone was getting all the ladies to want to be his wife.

But Peter is already somebody else’s fiancé. Her name is Luvelia, and she was a pretty knight he never wanted to cheat on. All the women crushing on him didn’t care about Luvelia’s existence. They used attractive bodies to lure him into temptation. Will Peter rise above all the temptation and hold on to his integrity and loyalty?

11. Erased

Erased

No other anime will make you crave to get to the next episode like Erased. Just like Redo of the Healer, it also talks about time travel.

This isn’t your everyday story about time traveling; Erased stepped up the game to give an all-time fascinating story. Satoru Fujinuma is a young boy who could go back in time and stop tragic events from happening.

He was constantly being reminded of every traumatic thing he went through when he was a child. The city made him wonder if he had a gift. If all these bad things are happening around the city, will his past take a different path? Erased is an emotional anime that will get the faint-hearted to start sobbing.

10. High School DxD

High School DxD

The main character of High School DxD has a personality that all viewers might not love, but I’m not here to pass any judgment. If you know this type of unnatural comedy is your vibe, why not make this your must-watch? Issei always wanted to have females around him and nothing else.

He later enrolled at Kuou Academy, where he had a high score, which made him one of the most beautiful girls. He has no idea that she isn’t an adorable angel like she appeared on the outside but an actual devil. In no time, Issei’s life was taken away by the devil’s girlfriend.

Luckily, a classmate of his and Rias brought him back to life, but there was a condition to it. After he is brought back to life, he is to live as a slave to Rias, to which he agrees.

It doesn’t look like he had any other option. When he comes to find it, he finds himself amid fallen angels, demons, and exorcists. There was no way that he was gonna make it out alive. He had to stay and do what he promised.

9. Claymore

Claymore

Claymore is next on the list, with a very enticing plot for all anime fanatics. The plot unveils a supernatural world that is swarmed with Yomas, which are demons. There was a group of women fighters known as the Claymores, where Clare belonged.

Their blood had traces of the yoma blood, which gave them the ability to challenge and fight these scary Tomas that everyone was running away from.

Clare focuses on one particular yoma that had done something bad to her. Her ignoring all the others and keeping an eye on one becomes the interesting part of the story. Why many fans have loved Claymore and rank it so high because it talks about a lot of themes. There is drama, horror, and action, which seems like a complete package for every enthusiast.

8. Lord Marksman and Vanadis

Lord Marksman and Vanadis

Lord Marksman and Vanadis are packed with many battles, balancing things with a sprinkle of comedy. Not forgetting to mention the gorgeous girls featured in the early stages where people practiced magic.

Watching the first episode will get you hooked until you finish the series. It’s a masterpiece! Tigrevurmud Vorn is a Lord of a certain age at a very young age.

The king then summons and assigns him to invade the neighboring village and provoke them into war. Among the people he was sent to destroy is a gorgeous war maiden and one of the seven Vanadis named Eleonora Vitaria.

As they meet on the battlefield, it’s like a survival of the fittest situation. Who are you rooting for and making your decision as you start watching already?

7. Blue Exorcist

Blue Exorcist

Everyone was talking about the blue exorcist when it was realized, and l can safely say it deserved the attention. While portraying the dark fantasy, the series is loaded with many action scenes, making it feel like you are watching a redo of the healer. The protagonist, Rin Okumura, is just an ordinary young boy.

One particular day, he comes across a demon-possessed boy, who later reveals to him who he is. Powers that have been lying dead in him were triggered, and now he knows that he is the son of the devil.

After this encounter, he went to work as an exorcist with the True Cross order but told no one who he was. His life after this was not easy, and the obstacles he went through along his journey are something you ought to watch.

6. God Eater

God Eater

As we continue the list with some of the best dark fantasy anime. God Eater, in particular, doesn’t even hide its dark side with any comedy or whatever. The plot is set in the years after 2050 when creatures known as the Oracle cells appear out of ghetto blue to destroy everything that ever lived on Earth.

Amongst the humans, there was no one strong or brave enough to stand against them. The whole human race is on the verge of being wiped out.

There is a group called the God Arce, which is the only hope left in people’s hearts. Everyone is looking up to them to fight on their behalf to at least save the few people left.

You will also enjoy how the characters talk, especially what they talk about, even though you might not easily understand everything they say. The intense fighting will be a bonus to a good story like this, but it’s not a crime to enjoy everything the anime has to offer

5. Overlord

Overlord

Want something like a redo of the healer but a little more interesting? Overlord is the best recommendation l have for you. The story talks about Momonga, a young boy who is into games, but something unusual is about to happen to him. He finds himself trapped in an MMORPG, which was his favorite game.

This happened the very day it was going to have its final game. All his knowledge from the game was used to fight against the beasts and monsters. To his and our surprise, no one was stronger than him, and it was so easy to defeat them.

So he gained respect, and they all feared him as he was now the Ainz Ooal Gown. Momonga had defeated all his rivals, so he was now waiting for someone more challenging than the previous opponent.

The comedy is there, and the excitement will make you act like a child who just got new shoes. Overlord is a perfect 10 in my books, considering it has an impeccable sound, relatable characters, and a good quality animation.

4. The Legend of the Legendary heroes

The Legend of the Legendary heroes

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes is not only about wars, action, and fantasy but also about politics. So, if you enjoy politics, go ahead and watch, then thank me later. The narrative centers around Ryner, a strong soldier with a very unusual power bestowed upon him when he was young. Since then, people have picked up on him his whole life.

Ryner was in a relationship with Ferris, a very intelligent woman. Their goal was to stop corruption, so they went on a quest to bring justice and fairness to all. As you expect, the road will be filled with problems and rivals that want nothing but their life.

3. Ajin

Ajin

Kei is brought back to life only to find out the most shocking news of his life. Let me take you back so you understand why I said that. In a world where Ajin exists and is feared by the human race.

Despite being terrifying creatures, they kept their distance from people. They knew that they would forever be enslaved for the sake of experiments. So Kei grew up with the desire to become a doctor, but he unfortunately got involved in a fatal car accident and died.

When he gets a second chance to live, he discovers he is also an Ajin. He is now being threatened from both ends by Ajins and humans. His life is now in danger, and it doesn’t look like he has a safe space.

The darkness in this anime is like no other, giving a picture of the healer’s Redo. Fans have criticized how they mixed 2D and 3D animation, but you won’t be disappointed if you focus on the plot.

2. Rising of the Shield Hero

Rising of the Shield Hero

This emotionally thrilling story centers around Naofumi, whose personality was changed overnight. Initially, he wasn’t bad, but after being falsely accused of rapping someone. No wonder fans hate Myne because she is responsible for this evil act.

Everyone quickly believed this lie without any proof, and they all hated him. He gained the whole kingdom as enemies with no one to be on his side.

Naofumi, being a completely different person, now worked towards getting his revenge for what had been done to him. He wanted vengeance for all the betrayal that he didn’t deserve. Rising of the Shield Hero portrays a very relatable story, giving it its uniqueness on this list. What Naofumi endured is almost like what the protagonist of Redo of the healer went through.

1. Goblin Slayer

Goblin Slayer

Goblin Slayer did well in making sure that the anime enthusiasts remember the feeling of watching the dark fantasy in ROH. The story focuses on the goblin slayer’s quest to unalive every goblin left on earth. The action-filled, thrilling wars are not for the faint-hearted.

What I loved most about this series was his skills and the unmatched battle game. The fact that girls are over him makes the plot even more interesting when you mostly look for war. Don’t worry because this adventure will not take away the dark fantasy.

If I were to give my honest opinion, I would say that Goblin Slayer had the protagonist mimic exactly the merciless and dark main character from Redo of the Healer. There is no reason why you should not watch the Redo of the Healer.
